Central Spanish Study Resource

Overview

Have you ever tried to complete a language learning challenge as a strategy to improve your linguistic skills? I have and practicing answering prompt questions for only 1 minute a day replicates real life interactions. After the 30 days are up, your conversations with native Spanish speakers will be longer and more in depth.

YouTube Channel

I will be uploading videos to the Spanish Bluprints YouTube Channel at the end of every week to track my progress. Aditionally, at the end of the month, I will make a video of my final thoughts on this challenge.

How to do this challenge?

  1. Record yourself (audio only or video) answering the questions in the photo
  2. Self Analysis – Listen to your recording and figure out how you did with the points below
    1. How did you feel during the recording? Confident or scared?
    2. Amount of vocabulary
    3. How well did I conjugate verbs?
    4. Pacing
    5. Pronunciation
    6. Was I able to express myself?
  3. Progress – try to implement what you learned in step two and improve in your recording the next day!
  4. Celebrate – give yourself a pat on the back for getting out of your comfort zone and expanding your vocabulary

Extra Tips

  • Talk for as long as you can whether it is for 1 minute or only a few seconds. If you don’t know how to make Spanish sentences yet, then translate the words from the questions that you don’t know and study those
  • Record yourself asking the question to imitate an actual question and to make the challenge more dynamic
  • For an extra challenge, try writing out your response for 1 minute long
  • Have fun! and enjoy the process of practicing for your future conversations with a native Spanish speakers
