The Spanish language has captivated me ever since I heard it for the first time when I was 13 years old. My journey may have begun in middle school, but I never was serious about learning Spanish until almost a year after I graduated college. Learning Spanish in middle school, high school, and college was nothing in comparison to learning on my own outside of the classroom. I had the liberty of learning Spanish, however I wanted to. Which at this time was overwhelming and incredibly confusing since I was accustomed to following a strict syllabus in school.
I faced many more barriers during my solo Spanish learning journey. It turns out, many of these barriers were similar to ones other Spanish learners faced. Becoming fluent, failing, then developing my Dominican accent, learning to think in Spanish, improving my listening comprehension skills, and overcoming my fear of speaking Spanish are just a few of the many.
After a lot of reflection, a few years of reaching my language goals, and educating myself about the Spanish language and language learning in general, I started to realize that I had the ability to analyze complex language learning processes. Not only that, I could actually break them down, explain them to just about anyone, while also motivating them at the same time. Ultimately, this new ability changed my language learning journey from being just a language student to being a content creator on YouTube, educating my audience about Spanish and sharing my story. My main goal now is to help you create your Spanish blueprint so you can enjoy the process of learning Spanish and reach all of your language goals with ease.
